This single contains 2 pieces from my next album (TBA in 2018). Both tracks feature the very talented Michael Purse on sax. California Golden Age is a smooth blues-rock track featuring an entirely improvised lead and myself on the Hammond C-3 organ (along with all the usual instruments. Hardwood spotlight is a more upbeat blues-rock track with a soul twist featuring me on a Wurly 200A electric piano. Be sure to click on the track names if you want to know more about the inspiration behind them.

This single shall serve as a little prelude and also a sneak peek at my next album. I haven’t released a record in literally a decade (from the time this is being released). The last record I wrote and released was while I was in high school and didn’t really have a clue what I was doing (not that I really do now haha). Though I do feel as a writer I have progressed a great deal in the last many years both in perfecting my craft as a performer/composer and gathering an arsenal of inspiration to fuel my writing.
