Time-worn is a record that uses vibrant musical soundscapes to describe emotions and emotional experiences that many of us are all too familiar with.

Utilizing an intimate arrangement of instruments, a warm and somber sonic footprint and the intricate, deep colours of jazzy musical voicings, Michael Purse (Saxophone) and Dylan Lalonde walk you through somber emotional chapters and cathartic surreal experiences that on many levels, words just cannot express quite as well as music in its rawest form. Stories are told about the beauty behind sadness, perspective diversity and living through your days with vigor and strength. They also tell stories of surrealistic memories (both pleasant and unnerving) and even dive into some insight of common situations and struggles that we uniquely face as musicians.

The style of this album can be classified as Rock Fusion though there is a lot of variation with tracks to suit many different tastes. Soft & smooth, tight & crisp or loud and dirty; there is a wide array of sounds on this record to catch many different ears while keeping everything intimate, warm and full. Instrumentally this record features melodies and improvised lead parts on saxophone (performed by Michael Purse) and on electric guitar (performed by Dylan Lalonde). These bold leads are supported by a full backline of rhythm electric guitar, electric bass guitar, Wurlitzer electric piano, Hammond organ and drums. Some pieces also feature performances by Dylan Lalonde on grand piano and pipe organ as well as a 4-piece horn section to add a bit of extra sonic bite.
