This song is very Cathartic for me. Inspired by many times on the water at my family’s cottage as a child. I have always loved the calming influence of the sea. The naturally slow tempo of the waves as the tide rolls in and out. This song is inspired by that calming influence as well as the motion of the water on a calm summer evening. The ocean and water can have a very magical and ethereal effect on the soul; bringing some as close as they may ever come to an out of body experience.

This is a very long piece mainly due to the fact that it also includes a postlude to the song and an epilogue to the record at the very end. This passage of the song is meant to symbolize that “life flashing before your eyes” moment some claim that we may see before we leave this life. This final chapter to the record adds to the cathartic nature of the piece; bringing us to one final emotionally liberating climax followed by a graceful harmonic descent to the final resolution at the end of the story.

Enjoy your journey drifting through this final song riding these musical waves of emotion to the middle of the last side of Time-worn. I sincerely hope you enjoyed listening to this record as my number one goal always is to have these stories heard and these emotions shared by as many as I can manage.
